The Type 59 57mm anti-aircraft gun is a copy of the former Soviet C-60 57mm anti-aircraft gun, which was finalized and put into mass production in 1965 and has been gradually retired.

The gun is equipped with a single barrel barrel, a rotary locking bolt, a hydraulic control bar type withdrawal machine, a spring type reloader and an impact muzzle withdrawal machine. The actions of opening, pulling, pressing and closing the bolt are automatically completed by the energy behind the gun. The gun carriage is composed of a rectangular cross beam with variable section, a front and rear body, a march combat converter and a hand/air brake device. Each end of the cross beam is equipped with a screw type hand lever jack for leveling the gun when it is placed.

The gun is equipped with a type 6 director and a Type 9 radar, and an automatic E-18 vector sight for air and ground targeting; The artillery has all-weather combat capability, with automatic, semi-automatic, hand needle, manual four aiming methods.
